THE DARLING
A TRADITION SINCE 1963
An iconic recreational facility in Hochelaga-Maisonneuve
Founded by Mr. Joe Celestino, “Le Salon de quilles Darling” was established in 1963. Over the years, the bowling alley welcomed Quebec’s first professional bowlers (!). The bowling alley hosts the filming of several L’heure des quilles programs.
Le Salon de quilles Darling is a real institution in Montreal! It’s has such a great reputation.
In 2014, with the arrival of Isabelle, the hall underwent major renovations to restore Le Darling to its retro 1960s look. Its famous Brunswick electric machines of yesteryear and magnificent wooden lanes have been carefully preserved to offer you an authentic bowling experience of yesteryear.

Whether for lunch, supper or a little evening snack, the retro atmosphere at Darling’s Diner and the selection of comfort food will be a fitting accompaniment to your bowling excursion.

A UNIQUE EXPERIENCE!
And who knows? Maybe you’ll run into one of the many Québec celebrities who’ve chosen our alley!
Our staff will go all out to make sure that you leave full of happy memories.

Darling, Je t’aime!
Isabelle Lavoie has owned “Le Salon de quilles Darling” since March 1st 2014. The apple didn’t fall far from the tree, because her father and grandfather also managed bowling alleys (Broadway Bowling in Montréal-Est in the 1950s, the bowling alley in le Centre Récréatif Édouard-Rivest until 2000).
Her grandfather also ran the Broadway Cinema located above the bowling alley.
She reconnects with the family tradition by renewing it thanks to her energy and her experience in marketing communications in the cultural field.
Come and see her, she is a real enthusiast and will be happy to tell you several tasty anecdotes about behind the scenes of the bowling alley!
